Will try to be there at 8PM GMT on the dot to see if I can grab a spot. LVL 42 Smuggler Scoundrel - Some healing, some dirty fighting (close up).
Would love to get in there if I can.

So, Yahtzee reviewed SWTOR.
His comments about the Smuggler storyline are spot-on. After you get your "totally not the Millenium Falcon" ship, it takes a bit of a nosedive.
Meh, I dunno.. what does a smuggler do? He smuggles shit, is out for money and boob... even in the original films, Han Solo only really stuck around [left and came back] because he could get his reputation up, some more cash... and of course princess boob. I think the flirt, and "gimme credits" attitude in the Smuggler storyline works pretty well. Freelancer is exactly right. I don't see what else a smuggler would do... but I am enjoying the Smuggler (Scoundrel). Saying all that, I enjoyed his breakdown.

This resulted in my preorder going from yes to no with no option to change it. This may not even matter if that is being removed. You caught me in the middle of updating [removing] any left over pre-order info

Sared, a lot of valid points. The system has been adopted from the older roster, so most fields are similar.... Some changes need to be authorised by Tbone, but certainly it's good to have the feedback! Rename the 'Adv Class' field to simply 'Class'. In all honesty, if you are playing a 'Trooper' at level 36, and not a 'Vanguard' or a 'Commando', then you are a dumb. In my experience, this guild isn't a dumb.
You can't pick "Trooper" on it's own... so it's just the "full title" that is being shown. We could omit the root class name (trooper/jedi/smuggler). It's ADV CLASS to differentiate from the CLASS field - but I see no reason why it couldn't be called CLASS if the other field (see next point) is also changed. Replace the current 'Class' field with 'Role' for Damage/Healer/DPS, and remove the 'Crowd Control' selection, due to non-existence of a dedicated class for that role.
Again, taken from old roster... but yes may be better field name as "ROLE". There are some who are currently posted as "CC".... so I'm not sure why? Could live with or without this, replace 'Crew Skill' with 'Crafting Skill' and add additional fields for 'Gathering Skill'.
Fair. Is having gathering skills useful for others to see? Can certainly add in later. I don't see the purpose of the 'Pre Order' check box now that we are out of Beta. That being said, I think a field of check boxes might be more useful for things like availability, time-zones, or even specific interests (Hardmodes, PVP, Operations, Questing, etc. etc.)
Yes, PREORDER was a left over [might give you an idea of how long this has been around for in the background ]. I can remove that. I love the idea for the other checkboxes. I know this is a little complaint, and possibly something that could be solved with phpBB3, but the ability to select our forum avatar (FA forums) or upload our own instead of using the SWTOR avatars might be nice, and possibly worth looking into? I want to keep images to a certain size, so I could do that but would be resizing them for you which may give unwanted results. It's cosmetic of course and serves no real purpose; but it may reflect mor of what you look like in game. Lastly, the 'Avatar' name field makes no sense to me. What is it's purpose? Re-tag as 'Forum Name', or add additional 'Character Name' (with additional fields for alts maybe?) and 'Forum Name' fields. Yeah, as EE mentioned, "Avatar" name is your character name. The "forum name" is your first name listed. I can change the title to "Character Name" as it would make more sense to most. Alts may be possible down the line depending on what TBone allows with Alts to be part of guild. I will make title changes shortly...

Thanks folks!
Updates will follow, including functionality and design, but for now I needed to get the full testing done to see what you guys try to do that I didn't think about! Keep the troubleshooting coming.
Those who are not on the roster: It should add you automatically; this currently only happens if you click on "User Profile" on the top menu (you don't even have to update any info). I may change this to root roster code instead, so you are automatically added whereever you go on the roster for the first time.
Zipperqueen = Can you select "User Profile" from the top menu to confirm this is working (PM'd ya too).[Confirmed]
Rezinar = We can add you in, but just out of curiosity, did you select the Order from your "User Profile" area? If so, does it say you are still pending? (PM'd ya too).[Confirmed]
ExternalError = Problem noted. I was avoiding special chars for now, but of course we do have em in game in our avatar names. Will look to resolve this in due course... I'll update here when done.
Thanks folks.

Interesting... "did not obtain it through legitimate means"... what the hell does that mean? He hacked the client? I mean.... surely the crystal is available in game or not. If he didn't get it in game (through whatever clever process), then he hacked it???
Or do you think they are suggesting that it is in game, but shouldn't be available to get yet ... which I doubt .... but that would mean that it was BW's fault?
I am confused.

Ozur,
Thanks for reporting the issue. I don't believe this has been reported before from others. Please can you outline the issue a bit further - please PM me if needed.
> What was the last thing that happened before the screen when completely white (we would like to identify what stage you were exactly at)?
> What browser are you using?
> What O/S?
> What version of Flash?
If you can identify these things for us it will help. In the mean time, if you can upgrade flash, end even try another browser, this may well help move you on in the mean time!
Hopefully we can get this resolved for you ASAP.

haha... please...
Whenever I read the CS forums it's basially people bitching that they don't get treated like they are the CEO of BW. "MEMEMEME - I have a problem and and I want it fixed now! BW Sucks and I am cancelling my subscription"
I have reported many "trivial" issues in the game. I imagine that there are thousands of people doing similar reports.... and of course reporting the issue in their own "unique" way. Trying to compile a list of the issues, confirming the issue, determining if it's actually been reported, trying to figure out various hardware specs (especially on PC when hw/drivers/sw combinations can be in the millions!!!!).... especially when people insist that "Others" have handed in a dxdiag report for a similar issue...
man I have sympathy for BW (and all SW companies alike that have online services like this). I generally think they are doing a great job, and I'm loving the general storyline in the game (coming from a KOTOR perspective).
I do love that those who are feeling this strongly are dedicated quite a bit of time to create little story boards like this. Takes some dedication to the cause. They could, instead, cancel their subscription and move onto another game....

Just a note that the flash website that the outside world will see contains a link to the old SWTOR GUILD page, that no longer exists.
Instead it goes to a "page not found".
This is the top left part of the flash. Just a note!

Thanks for the responses on this; good to discuss = I guess the leaders are considering how to approach this (as mentioned on my "code fury" edit at the top of my first post)...
I guess if the reds disperse, then job is done. It would be nice to get some RP/PVP done as well, but the result is to clear the area...
I wasn't aware of the emergency travel pass. I mean, I know we had a travel pass from leaving your starting planet, but wasn't aware of any particular benefits of that over your own ship.... you still have to go to a spaceport or can that be used "whereever you are"?
