If you have a character on the Vector alt ship (Entallitikos), would you either a.) post name of said character here or b.) PM it to one of us if you wish them to be anonymous, as stated by Lith below.
This will make it a lot easier for us to keep track of who's who.
This game is basically Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, but with guns and more action, thrown into the survival-horror genre. This game was first announced in '01, but development hitches held it back until now - but don't worry, graphically, it's almost on par with Half Life 2.
Anyway, I recommend it for any fans of Oblivion's open-ended style of FPS/RPG gameplay, and I thought I'd give it a mention since I'm such a sucker for FPS's. If someone does manage to get it and wants to give multiplayer a run, let me know (even though the MP portion of the game looks pretty lame, to be honest).
I enjoyed it thoroughly, but I liked the older films much more overall.
Nonetheless, this was a blast from the past, and contained some great action sequences (Leo vs. Raph FTW). Anyone else see it that cares to share their opinion?
OK. I've done two clean installs, formats included. I've got Ultimate. Build 6000 or whatever.
I've googled and googled, but everything I try hasn't worked thus far.
Here's a brief rundown:
I get runll32 errors all the time; whenever I try to install any new drivers, it says that the Driver Install Module has closed down; whenever I try to open Control Panel, it says Windows Explorer has shut down; whenever I try to run IE, it shuts down. I can't uninstall or install some programs, I can't access anything in the control panel, and I can't roll back drivers (I tried to on the GFX card and 6 rundll errors popped up).
I used the Upgrade Advisor, and it said everything was fine. My memory and videocard are ran.
Here's what I install before this happens:
I install drivers for my Linksys Wireless G Adapter. Everything is fine.
I install Forceware 97.46 for Vista x86, and the DLL errors start. I shut down all the Nvidia stuff that's on "Startup" under System Configuration Manager.
The same thing happens when I install the 100.59 Vista Beta Drivers.
Someone pull me out of this hole. I'll try Customer Support or something after I find out if anyone here had similar problems. WTF?
Oh, this is on a Sony Vaio RB40. Intel P4 530J 3.0gHz DDR 333 1.5 gig. Nvidia 6800
Warning: There are quite a few pictures in this thread.
As some of you are already aware, a friend of mine, and a former FA member, Zack "Turret" Finfrock, runs his own webcomic and has been signed as the artist for the soon-to-be-released Ctrl+Alt+Del comic that you can find on store shelves.
Zack is a freelance artist, meaning that he makes his money off of commission for art, and it's what pays his bills while he's in college. I'm not trying to "advertise" per se, but being the nice friend that I am, I'd like to post some of his work here for you all to enjoy, as well as give you his contact information if you'd like to have anything done for yourself, especially since he's in a bit of a bind at the moment.
Below you'll find some MxO pictures, Zack's rendition of characters based on himself/friends for the upcoming Firefly MMO, and some others that I selected.
I'll also link his webcomic, Deviant Art portfolio, and the 6-page CAD comic preview.

Tbone, lucky you, I paid for this. Happy Birthday or something. Tbone from MxO (wearing the Whites):
Jeyk from MxO (wearing the Whites):
Even though the Firefly MMO hasn't even gone into production yet, that hasn't stopped Zack from doodling pictures of characters for it:

"Scarlet", one of my personal favorites - don't worry ladies, you're in good hands:
The CAD comic cover from concept by Tim Buckley to completion by Zack:
Well, I hope these inspire some of you to get together with Zack and have him spit out your ideas on paper. He can ink/color the pictures, the whole shebang, but I have no idea how much he charges for all that. You've got to get together with him on pricing. I paid $25 for the sketches of me and T (collectively, not individually).
My sister is 5, so there's an 18 year gap between our ages; but today, I got my first official big brother rib in on her. She was passed out cold after school. BURN!
I've got a new schedule starting this week, so playtime may be curtailed mildly, at best.
Last week I became an officer of a student organization on campus and this week was accepted as an undergrad research assistant in the cognitive and neuroscience lab (I found I have a hard time trying to not play with the rats, lol, they're awesome).
Between lab hours, organization office hours, and full time courses (only on Monday, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, thankfully), I'm going to lose a lot of playtime during exam weeks.
Overall, I honestly don't think it will get in the way much; just giving a heads up that I will be strapped for time on various weeks, namely early December.
Did you folks know that there was a 6.0 earthquake in the Gulf of Mexico 10:56 a.m. this morning? Apparently the vibrations were felt as far as North Carolina, due to the land being flat, which allows vibrations to travel fast. It was about 350 miles away from my location. I was asleep, but my uncle felt it.
