Starts Monday morning for me, so my time will be cut back a bit (16 credit hours this semester ). I'll still be around plenty in the evening / end of the week, but I'll be very scarce during tests weeks.

Check out Walrus's post: http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/posts/list.m?topic_id=36300001692Up until August 25th, they are taking votes on where to hold the SOE Fan Faire next year. The 3 choices are: * March 9 - Orlando, Florida * March 13 - Denver, Colorado * June 28 - Las Vegas, Nevada If none of these locations are near you, out of your travel range, or you simply don't care where it's held, please vote for Orlando! I'm frequently in Orlando, and I would go. Plus, this would be a nice opportunity for a big East Coast meet (sorry, Westies! ). Vote for Quimby! (Orlando :p)

Starting next week. I haven't been on much lately because I've been craming for the tests I've been having every week for the last two weeks. I'll be on plenty this weekened, but I may be sparse starting next week until July 21st. Summer courses FTW!

You guys remember when the F.E.A.R. demo came out, we all downloaded it, played it, discussed it, and loved it? Well, if you like great demos, and and good first person shooters, you owe it to yourself to try out Prey. I just got through most of the demo (quite lengthy), and it's great. http://www.fileplanet.com/164821/160000/fileinfo/Prey-DemoI'll probably pick this one up when it comes out.

I'm getting a new mobo and video card, and here's the only two options I'm going to have for the motherboard. I'll throw up what I see as pros and cons, and hopefully if you're knowledgable about these brands you can throw some comments in there as well. Option 1: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813153035Pros: Socket 754 AND 939, for future upgrades. Cons: Only 1 PCI-e slot, so no SLI for me. Also, Jetway seems pretty generic, but it has good customer reviews. Option 2: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813123257Pros: SLI Capable(Two PCI-e slots) Cons: Only Socket 754, so very, very limited room for upgrades. Also, another generic brand, but good reviews. Other information and help I need: Can anyone confirm that these have the ability to take IDE HDD's and SATA HDD's, which is what I understand so far. Also, I am in dire need a tutorial on how to take loosen up the thermal paste without damaging neither the heatsink nor the chip when I remove the processor. How do I do this safely, and how do I clean the heatsink and chip? Thanks much for your help! Let me know what you think ASAP, I want to order one of these tommorow. I'm leaning towards Option 1. Oh, by the way, here's the videocard I'm nabbing. http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16814150144Thanks![/b]

My video card died (a first for me), and Newegg is going to replace it for me. Luckily, I have another fully decked-out computer up and running, so I won't miss a beat!

Damn - I was browsing through some of my old posts when I came across this story - wayyyy to long.
The abbreviated version: I got a guy busted during a break-in down the street while I was smoking a cigarette.
