Anyone seen this movie?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0448134/ Rented it the other night and loved it. Definitely one of the best sci-fi movies I've seen in a while. If any of you saw it what did you think? **This thread created to break up some of the monotony of all the recent Darkfall posts** 18

September 9, 2008... that's the date my MxO subscription ends.
Now close those gaping mouths I'm not leaving FA, in fact I will continue to play as much of MxO as possible until my subscription expires. I will not however be re-subbing unless there are some drastic and immediate improvements on not only the games content, it's challenge but also the number of people who actually play it. Side Note: I think it's stupid to even label this a "massively multiplayer" game when the phrase "microscopic multiplayer" suits it much better. No one wants to admit this but I feel we abandoned MxO some time ago, and you know what I don't blame anyone because it is completely understandable. We are, at the very least, some of the smartest and most skilled gamers around and I don't care how much we love the idea behind a game, if it doesn't pose the challenge that we require then it is of no use to us and we quickly become bored and move onto the next one. The problem here is that we find ourselves with this great internal conflict. We stay partly because of the memories and the comradery but also because of an underlying sense of obligation to the game and to this faction. We are one of the very few factions to truly make an impact in this game and as such we can't help but feel slightly responsible when it fails. MxO is like a child we helped raise from birth and even though we've cared for it, nurtured it and even held its hand through some tough times it still grows up to be the guy in the Rat Suit at "Chuck E. Cheese." A prime example of our neglect is shown by looking at the total number of current FA members (37) and then looking at the average number of members who are in-game at any given time (1). It use to be that you could always find an FA member in-game either pvping, working on their build or just info or code farming but even that has run its course. We've tweaked our builds to the best they're going to get, we've got so much damned $info that we could literally support a third world country and pvp is a shell of what it was originally. I personally think that we should buy the Market Place (yes the whole Market Place) with all our combined $info and then just give the items away because Lord knows what else we're ever going to use it for. While I'm on this subject I'll also take the time to voice my opinion on the deplorable tactics that SOE and MxO have recently implemented in the desperate hopes to retain their cash flows. I am of course talking about all the new "items" that appear each update, each one with an ever increasing array of buffs, ensuring that you'll continue to rush in-game and acquire it (ex. Headgear, Overdrive, and the Commando outfit) and yes, even I am guilty of it. SOE and MxO have finally found that golden nugget, "give them useless crap to farm for and maybe they'll forget they're paying $15 bucks a month to wear a new piece of clothing." Meanwhile the content we pay for disappears, the storyline is swiss-cheesed and the population dwindles down to nothing. I'm still waiting for the tumbleweed to blow across Mara, some say it already has. I may sound pissed off and a tad bitter, but how can I not be? I loved this game and I still love this faction. MxO has been my one-and-only MMORPG and it was a very tough decision even to cancel my subscription six months from now. Like I said I'm not leaving FA; in fact my commitment to this faction and its members has never been stronger. I honestly believe that had I not been a member of FA when SOE took over, I would have left then. I'll still help out whenever I'm needed, in-game or out and I wait patiently for the day when we as a Faction move to another game and continue to kick ass like no other. Don't get me wrong, I still hold out great hope for MxO but the part of me that's a realist is knocking on that door and unfortunately I know what he's selling. So, here it is...Six Months and counting.... Tick...Tock. _Yotogi 23
Off Topic / HDMI Question« on: February 28, 2008, 09:18:29 am »
Does anyone know if there's a Graphics card out there that has HDMI outputs?
Also does anyone know if DVI outputs have the same bandwidth as the video side of HDMI I'd like to hookup a computer to a HD television and would like the best resolution possible. Thanks 24

Here's my "Almost" finished submission for the Real World reward for the winners of the Vector Challenge. I figure it would go on the back of a CafePress's long sleeve black t-shirt.
It's been a while since I've messed with anything having to do with PS so any feedback would be nice. Without further ado.... UPDATED: Here's what'll look like on the shirt. ![]() and here's the PNG file you need to upload to CafePress http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a283/Shinzui501/Furious%20Angels/2007-Vector-Challenge-Award-1.png 25

This thread is for listing anything anyone needs to better prepare for the V.C. If you need abilities list them here. If you need clothing items list them here. If you need specialty items or weapons or cosumables, list them here.
For those who can not make it to the V.C. and happen to have an item you see requested, please be of a giving spirit (it is Xmas afterall) and see if you can lend them the item in question. This is especially important because of the time constraints in procuring any speciality items one might need for the battle. Please follow the form below for requests. SAMPLE ITEM1: Health Pills QUANTITY: 20 REASON: I tend to bleed a lot. ----------------------------------------------------------- ITEM2: Tactic Booster QUANTITY: 20 REASON: I like the animation ----------------------------------------------------------- ITEM3: Widow's Moore Lenses QUANTITY: 1 REASON: I need the buffs for my build. Etc, etc... **Think of this thread as the "Trading Post" 27
General / FA's V.C. : Strategies & Tactics« on: December 03, 2007, 10:01:08 am »
This thread is only for discussion about combat tactics and strategies.
To be successcful we must come up with a proper plan of attack / defense. Suggestions and discussion are to be made on this thread and once enough are gathered they will be put to a vote. Please follow the format below. SAMPLE STRATEGY: Confuse the enemy by not gathering together as a full force until the exact moment the battle is to begin. TACTIC: Each member is to pick a hiding location within the district of the battle and only the Team Recaller will be at the actual battle site and upon execution all members will be immediately recalled to the battle scene. This will confuse enemies and keep them searching for us until we are ready to act. 28
General / FA's V.C. : Locations« on: December 03, 2007, 09:44:26 am »
This thread is solely for suggestions for locations within the Matrix, please follow the format below.
SAMPLE LOCATION: Debir Court REASON: Famous Battle Scene CLOSEST INGRESS OR EGRESS: Mara Central HL, Mara South HL, Magog Blue Line Train. **When we've received an ample list of locations then we'll vote on them, but till then just send in any idea you've got.** 29

By now most of you should know that I devote a part of my time to being a volunteer firefighter and in my experiences I've seen some good, some bad, and some really ugly. I thought I would start a thread that showcased some of the calls I run on a weekly basis, some of which I hope will be educational. I'll keep this thread updated as long as there is continued interest.
