I've spent my time learning to be a gunman, so my hacking skills are stu-gots. When I have a mission to get something from a remote link to a mainframe, how do I get anything from it? I needed to get a "list" from the mainframe--I did all the work, but couldn't get anything other than how long USR had been on the computer? Please have mercy on an aspiring gunslinger!

Well, it used to be that you need various computer spikes to perform actions on the computer, that is if that computer is actionable.
A menu should always be presented if you can do anything, and it gives you proposed actions, and the cost (in spikes).

I don't know if this has changed since the patching.
This should not affect you as a Gunslinger?!

Here's the situation, maybe I'm missing something? Mission goalsare to Get access to mainframe (kill guard, get key to room); get codes for mainframe (I ended up with a disk in my inv that said "codes", but mission goals "get mainframe codes" was not checked off; then get "list" from mainframe.

I got the key to the room, accessed the computer. Search was only option, and I got a chat message "Active_ComputerWhite whispers / USER has been logged on for 82 hrs and xx minutes" But how do I do anything to get the "list"? I did access Active_ComputerBlack" which told me to look in cabinet for key"

Duh. Am I so @$#%$#^%$^%$&^$ that I can't figure this out or is the mission Broken? BTW there is a lab worker lvl 1, that I can't do anything with who follows me around as I try to solve this puz.
