I finally made the transition from a 32mb video card to a 256mb video card last night and all I have to say is....Dear God, everything doesn't look like crap anymore!! I just felt like posting this since I've had this video card since my comp 1st came into my house (which was about....6-7 years ago)...I'm still trying to figure out how my old 32mb video card was able to handle the next gen games like HL2 and MxO (plus EQ with all good character models, and most of the enriched world), but nonetheless, this transitiion was well worth it...now my version of MxO won't be Hitler's dream (everyone to me was white...no tanned, black, yellow, red people...all white....no tattoos either, or hair color...just white hair)!!

I can't even play this game anymore if its not on 'High Detail'...the environment is just so much more immersive. Make sure to set your Z scale to 1....if its not already.

I upgraded from 64 to 256 and said the same thing..."DAMN thats sweet!!!" The environment and people looked so much different.

Then I realized how ridiculous my character looked to everyone but me before my upgrade. With the upgrade I, too, could share in the ridiculopathy (no, not a word) that was my RSI. Who put that crap on my face? I look like the guy that passed out first at the worng party...but it's only Beta so no character wipe, just livin' with it.

Yeah I know what you mean Kairos, I put on my Kevlar looking vest and saw the massive amounts of tattoos on my RSI's arms / back and thought "man, that must've been one hell of a party I went to to have not noticed these massive things on my freakin' arms"....Now with my spicy new 256 card I'm playing games I bought but couldn't play (despite my good RAM / uber harddrive space) like KOTOR, Doom 3, and once I finish those up, Lords of Everquest...looks like I'll be taking another break from MxO lol...(except for the filming stuff, I have to put my part in for that....gotta finish up the whole guard fight stuff)
