Loose lips? Not me.

Allrighty folks.  I’m starting this thread for a number of reasons.  First and foremost there is or was a certain rumor going around that I had done at least one of the following:

Was bragging about CT clothes’ stats to non FA members
Gave away CT clothes to non FA members
Sold CT clothes to non FA members

Each and every single one of the above are false.  Not only are they false but I’m offended that people are talking about this behind my back and most importantly, not coming straight to me with exact details.

Here is what I understand:

Broin pulled me aside in TS the other day questioning me about the above and when I told him the obvious negative he felt he should let me know what I already know.  Don’t give away or blab our FA secrets.  The fact he corrected me on this leads me to believe that I’m no longer being questioned with the benefit of the doubt, I’m being accused and reprimanded.  Not to mention when I asked, the who what when where questions, I wasn’t even given a straight answer.  In fact I was given false information.  After giving Broin the third degree he said it was a non fa member who reported me.  Finally, something.

I went straight to tbone to see what was up.  It seemed he was already discussing this issue with Broin, and Ratio (That I know of).  I entered the private channel and was kicked out immediately.  At this point I’m pissed.

Tbone finally drags me in and starts to explain what he heard.  He asked questions like “So you weren’t telling people the names of our CT gear?”, “So you weren’t talking to anyone about the stats of our clothes?” … Things like this.  The answers were no no no except for when I had dueled someone and they made a comment about “wow you must be wearing some good stuff” and I replied “meh… the threads help”.  That’s the closest thing I can think of that someone might interpret as espionage.  When I asked who it is that “saw” the alleged activity tbone declined to tell me claiming he did not want to bring friction into FA.  So then I though to myself, well Broin is saying that it was a non FA member and Tbone is implying that the person is in FA.  Stories are getting funky and this is where the major communication breakdown exists.  Too many cooks in the kitchen.

So now I’m really pissed.  Not only will a supposed trusted fellow FA member tell multiple people something about me that is either a mistake or a lie but everyone except me seems to know who this person is and no one feels like I deserve to know.  Talk about feeling alienated.

The goal of this thread is to accomplish 4 things.

1)   Allow the accuser to come out in the open and either give proof, screenshot, story anything…
2)   Allow the accuser to retract their statement and clear my name while giving an explanation of what exactly happened.
3)   Give me the decency of fighting my own battle on this, instead of it being moderated as if I were a 13 year old.
4)   Open up communication in the faction so that we all can trust each other a little better.

I’m making a stink about this for numerous reasons.  The rumor was started by a single individual.  This individual told multiple people and then decided to tell tbone.  Telling tbone was appropriate.  Telling everyone is TS was not.  So after tbone was notified people were questioned for a few minutes but then the ball was dropped.  This means instant death for me.  There was no clarification so I’m sure most people just assumed I was guilty.  I care about my reputation with FA.  I care if my fellow members can trust me without thinking twice.  After building this site, the FA forums, the bluepill forums, all layouts, hosting the site, turning the FA site into something that used to be less then average into something we all can be proud of instead of the old site with the proboard forums, and being around since before beta… You would think I would have established a little trust.  Why would I put so much time, money, and energy into something like FA just to ruin our competitive edge come game launch?  

I am taking this into my own hands to allow people to come to me in open forum to make any accusation and show what proof they have.  I would like the chance to defend myself.

On the flip side to this there is someone with a similar handle as mine who had told me that they were talking to non FA members in a dungeon about their combat clothes.  They had told me they were discussing facts such as stats and names.  This sounds seemingly similar to what I was being accused of.  And if that person could come forward that would be very cool of you.

In conclusion, I would like to point out that I am frustrated but I do understand this is just a miscommunication one way or another.  I’m not upset at anyone nor do I think that someone is trying to purposefully hurt my name, I feel what the person did (come to tbone) was right.  I would have done the same.  What I don’t agree with, is not coming to me as well and brining this to an end.  I also don’t agree with letting multiple people know about something and not even giving me all the details.

I would appreciate that this thread not be locked or deleted as I would be compelled to just put it back up.  This is important to me so thanks for understanding.  So at this point I would appreciate any feedback in regards to this situation and I would like to be brought up to speed about who said exactly what and we can get started sorting this out.  I would like to be able to sleep at night knowing that no FA members see me in a bad light or think I’m doing something that hurt the faction.

Confused and upset that people would blame Likwid "tight-lips" (sincere).

Blaming likwidtek would be like blaming Tbone or Eroz or Ajax or even myself.  He, like the people I compared to, has been around almost a year now.  We have all been here saying "I can't wait for MxO!!11" when it the 1337 proboards and the puzzle was a picture .  I'm stepping my foot down here, I'm certain likwid hasn't done anything intentionally wrong and I doubt he would go blabbing away about our secrets after waiting for this long!

yah i'd have to agree with oronos, if theres someone to trust its lik, especially since weve known him for so damn long, but a good "solution" might be that it was just a spy within the ranks, trying to topple our ranks, which dont work, of course all i have to ask is what is the "CT" in CT clothing mean? you know it couldn't be me, shit i dont even have this game yet lol nor will i be able to understand whats going on until may 20th when i return home and stay on my computer for 4 weeks straight trying to catch up, i trust lik as much as i trust anyone else in the faction, if not more, kinda messed up, but of course, we dont know the whole story.

Trust, yes: Likwid runs the servers etc! You got my trust for that alone!
I too am a little surprised by this.
It maybe wasn't the correct way to confirm the info.

We have had issues before, and the response is always to tell Tbone.
If you have a problem with ANYTHING, tell Tbone.
DON'T tell anyone else.

If anyone hears someone complaining about another member (being "bitchy" etc) I would suggest your response is "I'm staying out of it, speak to Tbone".

I hope the other chap comes forward, sounds like a misunderstanding at the bottom of it all.

Likwid, I don't believe I ever accused you of anything and the conversation we had, if you remember, was just one of me saying "Hey this is what I heard is this what happened."  You immediatley said it wasn't the case.  From that point on I took you at your word, and you know that is the case because I told you that I took you at your word.  I even told you what I had heard, without being pressured by you so please don't post that you gave me the "third degree" because it implies that you had to coerce a statment out of me and to be honest with you that's just not possible.  I was very up front and honest with you and I don't appreciate you implying that I was being anything but that with you.  As far as any discussion in the private channel, after our conversation, that I had with anyone else on the subject you do not have your facts straight.  I left it at your word and was done with the issue.  I did not speak with anyone else in the private channel about what we had discussed, again as far as I was concerned it was done.  

Something to think about Likwid is if someone outside the faction is accusing you falsley of these things then I'm sure this is the exact result they were wanting to get.  Which is why I came to you and pulled you aside quietly just the two of us, instead of posting some topic about it on the forums.  

In the future if you have a problem with me about anything or a problem with me talking to you about anything, speak to me about it.  I'll be alot more impressed with you, if you do that rather than go and post a forum thread at 3:00 AM in the morning where no one is going to be able to read and answer your questions for hours on end.  Which throws all kinds of questions out there for other members not involved in the situation to sit and wonder about.

Ok guys; first off let me say this....
I have read, understood, and agree with some points that were made in everyone’s post thus far. I think that right now things are still a little touchy (peoples feelings) that is. And that's cool and understandable. Sometimes things are not always what they seem, and sometimes we say things that we may not really mean, or maybe they come out in ways different from which we meant it to be taken. Text can be misleading, for it has no real emotions. I don't think anyone here means any harm onto another or the FA, ESPECIALLY if you have worked with a person for such a period of time and GOD knows how many grueling hours, let alone weeks or months.

I really like and enjoy you all here in FA, I have never met a more trustworthy bunch like yourselves online in my life. I know there are always a few bad apples in the bunch, but I think we are all intelligent, responsible, open-minded, and respectful adults to be able to detect and deal with those issues in a professional way when they arise. The talent and skills you guys possess, are incredible. You all put a lot into this faction to make it what it is today. I personally have not been around from the beginning, but from what I have seen that impressed me, you guys have a strong bond with one another and that’s all good.

That type of trust, dependability, and faithfulness has attracted not only myself to want to be apart of a growing establishment, but hundreds as well. I guess what I am trying to say here guys is, let's give it sometime, and remain focused on what the continued goals are within the FA.

This FA has provided a place for good people to come and be amongst other good people and have a great time. Other FA's want what we have, TRUST ME, I hear it everyday, see it everyday that I'm online. I'm sure many of you also know and see this as well. People will do whatever it takes to be like us, talk like us, be us, be allies with us, whatever…you feel me? They will try to cause a commotion within are establishment to dismantle us. So let's stop bugginout for a taste (bugginout -aka- trippin or stressing out) for a (taste aka minute or awhile)....and get back on it, thing will workout. )

When i said I had to give you the third degree, it was in regards to who said it.  You were reluctant on telling me who.  I think you said "who said it isn't important" but after asking some more you said they were a non-FA member.

I left it at your word and was done with the issue. I did not speak with anyone else in the private channel about what we had discussed, again as far as I was concerned it was done.

I didn't think that you were the one talking in public channel about it.  I meant the accuser spoke in public channel about it.  But this was before I logged into TS.  After I logged in, I think the topic died and became hush hush.  That's when, I feel, the rumor mill started churning.  I know that you were respectful Broin.  I had mad respect for you.  I know that you wouldn't be logging into TS and blurting OMG OMG did you hear what likwid did??  No, I know that wasn't the case.  I was referring to the accuser who brought it up to multiple people before they took it to tbone.  I still have people asking me about it.  And I ask them who saw me and they won't say!!!  I hope you can understand my frustration.

Broin, I'm really sorry for the confusion.  This thread was not directed at you unless you were the person who was accusing me.  If you heard  just like everyone else did, then this is not directed at you.  Who ever heard or witnessed it first hand told people aside from tbone before it was validated.  But any information that you have regarding who "saw" me doing this would be appreciated.

Broin you are invaluable to this faction and I really feel sorry if you felt targeted by this thread.  It was not my intention at all.  I feel that you did the right thing by pulling me aside and asking me directly.  Honestly, I wish you would have been more candid about who was accusing me, but that’s your choice.  I do not feel that you were blabbing to other members starting rumors about me.  I’m just trying to find out who did and who supposedly witnessed this alleged act.  Please accept my deepest apologies.

Aside from this, if anyone has specific information regarding this, please feel free to post what they know here.

Likwid, the only thing I accuse you of is being a great guy! Since I have only been around for a month or so I really don't know my fellow FA members that well, but I can say Likwid has been one of the nicer people I have teamed up with to do missions. I think we should chalk this one up to someone misunderstanding.
