I was looking at the pushed back thread in the forums and noticed a link to

If you notice it it is server status, this would be a great feature to add another // on the side bars. As you notice though it is only HTML so as soon as it goes down it might not be updated until a human fixes it, but it could be server based too. So all of you good in the knowledge of programming find a way to get this on the sidebar. Or if you really want to be nice to the community find a way to make it System Tray based or usable on other faction sites.
