Due to an unfortunate incident involving character creation/deletion today, and the overall laziness and uselessness of MxO support, my alias has become unaccessible.
I have no clue when it's going to become available.
But this has just ruined the day for me. I have absolutely no desire to put work into another character name only to delete it once my name comes back.
So I'm just going to be sitting on the sidelines until the support team gets its act together and fixes the problem. I know others have had the same issue.

However, once I do get back into the game as MidnightMeadows, will some of you be willing to help me out and get me a running start? I have a feeling I'm going to be horrendously behind once I get back in...

Same thing happened to me. I did though create a character named xMazdax on enumerator although when they get it fixed im changeing my character back to Mazda

well at least you DID play, im trying not to buy a plane ticket home just so i can spend my spring break at home, playing mxo....but its SOOO tempting!!!

yeah the name GrimKitten was linked to my original beta account and not my pre-order (they wren't linked) so that name is now linked to an account that no longefr exists. i'm now GrimKitty. Pathertic, eh?

[Update]: Well, for those of you who didn't hear about it last night on TS, apparently I can claim my name on any of the other 5 servers, just not Enumerator. It's the only one that gives me an error and won't take "MidnightMeadows" as a username.

Support is lazy as hell and finally sent me a confirmation of receiving my petition (second one, sent at 8pm last night) about 15 minutes ago.

because i had trouble getting my preorder key to begin with, and i didn't realize they could be linked. it wasn't until after i created the pre-order account that i saw the page to change the password and such .... bleh oh well. if i can change it later, i will, and just suffer recreating the character. otherwise, meh, whatever.

I'm sure someone here has an extra pre-order key that they can give you to imbue your beta account with...

[Update]: Devs closed my new petition and claim to still be reviewing my old one (which had less information). They say they the problem is "being investigated."

but the extra key would have to come in the pre-order box, and i've already paid for a box ... ? meh, i sent in a petition. if they can release my char and i have to start over, i won't cry about it. i'm only level 6 right now, so starting over, if it means i can have GrimKitten back, i'd be a happy camper. MEH!!

Woot! Looks like I'm getting my name back on Enumerator, folks. Hopefully sometime today:

"We are aware of the problem some users are having recreating their original characters. Please indicate the character name that you wanted to reclaim, as well as the server you wished to have that character name on. If you do not have a character on that server, please create one. We will rename the character on that server to the charactername within 24 hours. Please ensure that you are not using this name on any other server, as each charactername must be unique. We will only be doing this for characternames that will not recreate, and only while the problem persists. We appreciate your patience on this issue."

Grim, you should definitely send them a petition indicating both of the accounts or yours, and just ask them to rename your current character on Enumerator (which they're doing for me).

LOL i had just sent a petition!!! And I even asked them if there was a way to rename my character!!! That's awesome and makes me one VERY pleased kitten!!! Whooooooooooooooo!!!!

Ok, that's probably WAY too excited for a name change, but GrimKitty just sounds .... whiny ..... lol

[Update]: *sigh* Things were looking so hopeful for today. Seemed like everything was going to be in order after 1:00pm. It's now been about 8 hours since they said they'd fix the problem, and it still hasn't been 100% fixed. Take a look:
