Kotar seems like a real jerk. It's sad to see people say these kinds of things but at the same time it's expected when you're the big dog. One thing I've learned in life is: "If you push your head above the crowd, you're going to get tomatos thrown at you."

Why are we still whining about what people say to or about us.  As long as its not true or we haven't put ourselves in a compromising light, why get all bent about it?  There has to be a limit to how much we're gonna cry about this already.  We can't go around kicking attitude and trying to kick everyone's ass because they said something about us you didn't like.  This is starting to get a little old and childish.  They're not gonna let it go until they cease to get a reaction out of us so let it drop already.  

I swear some of us act like we're not aware of what "life" on the internet is like and especially in MMOs.  People are going to talk alot of shit and be assholes because they can.  Unfortunately, they seem to be in the majority.  Get used to it, deal with it and don't be the same way otherwise you just show yourself to be a fucking hypocrite.  There isn't much more that we can do.  What was said in those screenshot is no worse that what' I've heard on TS.  So why shouldn't they talk about us the same?  Because we're FA? What does that mean?  We've done nothing yet, to prove that we actually ARE above the rest of these factions.  The tolken gesture here and there isn't going to cut it.  It has to be a consistant code of conduct.

The top dogs of FA are doing their best to keep things under control and to help FA regain their respect and dignity.  I think we owe them to fall in line with what they are trying to do.  This should not only be for show to the community, but be how we conduct ourselves internally as well.

Its starting to get to the point that I don't want to get on TS anymore and listen to people whine and spout a bunch of arrogant bullshit because someone said something about FA.  If we pride ourselves on being mature, maybe our actions in game as well as our speech in TS should reflect this.

Phienyx I agree with most of that, when people message me in game trying to get a rise out of me, i give them no response of any kind for the most part... today when Kotar was saying these things, I sad 2 things to him.... 1) we don't exploit  - when he called FA exploiters, 2) does it look like i care - when he said he was talking to me

I get numerous taunts each day from people like psycidelicos and then instances like this, so im used to it... i hardly read the forums anymore and i never post in them at all anymore.

The reason this particular thing made me so upset is because this guy, these guys are SUPPOSED to be our allies, our in-game friends not our enemies, not people who accuse us of exploiting and ruining the community. Even if it is kotar's own personal opinion, he should have the decency to not brand us the way he did in a public way like that... mara central of all places.  

Yeah im tired of bitching and complaining about the same shit over and over... but you know what? im even more tired of hearing the same flames day in and day out... especially not from our own "allies".

Gabes got a point and I'm sure the issue will be raised with solis. I have a doubt that this guy represents their intentions and is just one of the lose cannons. You know you can't be all right when Psy thinks what you're saying is good and in the end as many people defended us in that conversation as those who aggred so its not all that bad. I think other people have had issues with Kotar in the past and it isn't much surprise to see his name pop back up as this guys got his issues.  

Gabe has a point we should be able to trust our allies not to smear us but in the long run we'll keep doing what we're doing and weather our enemies think we exploited or achieved our goals on our own merits, they will still fear our presence.

Allies means only that our two factions work toward the same goals, at times.  This doesn't make them our best buddies or require that they even like us.  What they say about us is insignificant to the overall goal.  Do you really think Morpheus, Neo, Trinity or any other character in the movies were running around kicking ass and bitching and moaning because of what someone said about them?  Come on, this is an RPG.  Get your game on and stop taking everything so personally.  I don't even think some of our female members are as sensitive as some of us males are acting.  

Sure, I get tired of hearing crap talked about FA too, but I'm not gonna let it get to me.  I know i am mentally strong enough to withstand shit like that without having to respond or react to it. Every time one of us reacts to things that are said about us, we become their puppets.  People like that just enjoy seeing people react.  Don't give them the pleasure.

Fellow factions have the same goals but allies and this is what we are supposed to be, back each other up and this guy has done the reverse. Again Gabe has a point but I'm sure that this guy doesn't represent the whole group just a lose end. This falls into a Tbone category of talking to solis on it and I'm sure he'll jump when he’s got the time. Agreed we don't need to get bent out of shape and usually responding doesn't lead to anything but more aggravation. I'm sure Gabe isn't going to lose any sleep but we also don't need one of the Zionist factions we are allied with doing this. Its good to know this is going on so we can see were everyone stands but beyond that I wouldn't sweat it.

I just talked with Kotar on TS for a good two hours...

Kotar is a part of this "Zionist Alliance", a group of people who we've been working closely with and who I've considered friends. The "Zion Alliance" thing voted and decided to blacklist FA. They did this without talking to me about it. Their plan was to send me an email typed up explaining what they had decided to do. Kotar has a problem with Gabriel. That's why he is preaching out against FA. DaPharmer is a part of this alliance. Something happened between him and an FA and that is why he has a chip on his shoulder.

The following factions has agreed to blacklist us:

The Kindred
Warriors of the Awakened
Children of the Code
Risen Triad


I started out by cussing out Kotar. I was pissed - he started by blaming us for ruining Zion and Zion's chances at the event. I had had enough. Called him all kinds of names. I calmed down (as I always do) and we talked things out. I've pretty much convinced him that they're doing things wrong, and he seems to agree that there's been misunderstandings. I'm supposed to talk with the "alliance" or whatever sometime soon (Kotar is going to arrange it) even though I really don't feel like it. I'd rather talk with them one-on-one instead of facing a firing squad. At this point I feel it is really not worth it. I feel like we've been stabbed in the back. My weak spot has always been too much mercy, though, so instead of writing them off, I want to try to fix the situation.

This is the reason we are not a part of this "alliance". I pressed the "Zion Relay", simply a place where Zionists could trade info. They couldn't leave it at that and formed an inner circle of it called some sort of  "alliance". They consider it to be like the UN. Essentially they feel we aren't popular anymore, and if you're not popular, you can't hang out with the cool kids.

I could really care less.  For all I care, they can have their little circle jerk group.   We don't really need that.  We can just as easily develop our own sources of information and operate alone.  It would be nice to have allies, but if they are going to "blacklist" us over some dumb shit, then so be it.  As it appears, we are being forced to follow that FA backstory of being kind of a faction unto ourselves where people underestimate the effect we have on the "war" and really know little of what we do.   I kinda like it like that.  Its lends to the whole mystique of the Furious Angels.  Our name is known.  Let us fade into the shadows and do our own thing when its needed.  If we do this with the right attitude, people will know that we can and should be called on to help when the shit hits the fan and won't purposely try to exclude us.  Let our skill, influence, behavior and numbers speak for itself.  If we really need to verbally defend FA, we've done something wrong somewhere along the line, even if its merely being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

However, Tbone, when you go to talk to these....people, I hope you are allowed to bring a little "back up" for support.
