Nominations for Captain

After years of service, Eroz has decided to step down from his position as Captain of the Veritas. He was one of our first members and did a lot to help this faction in its early days before anyone knew who the Furious Angels were. Part of being a leader, though, is knowing when to pass the torch, and so we find ourselves with a new position available.

We are accepting nominations for captain. You may nominate yourself or nominate someone else pending they accept the nomination.

We are looking for someone who is extremely active in the faction and especially in the Matrix and who will continue to be active for a while to come. We are looking for someone who has proven themselves loyal to the faction. A captain should have an even temper both in the Matrix and to other members on Teamspeak. The new captain should be prepared to take on duties such as running FA functions in game (like the new Rounds of Fury), acting as a contact for Zion liasons, and helping in the organization and control of the faction.

We'll be accepting nomnations for a while and then we'll get to the next step of the process. Please post your nominations in this thread.

Sir, I have sent a communication regarding a member I would like to put forward.

I would like to nominate ManicVelocity and Dagonet, both of whom are extremely active members of the Veritas.

ManicVelocity has been one of the longest active members of this crew (since the start of its formation, I believe, when the Carpe Diem broke apart). He has constantly come online and has also been one of the best RPer's whom I have ever met. His favorite thing to do is seriously RP with teh n00bs of the Matrix. It's fun to see their reactions. When I would tell them exactly what they needed to know, Manic would mysteriously answer their question and help them out even more. He truly has my respect as a member, and I would love for him to be Captain of the ship that I'm in.

Da6onet, the current First Mate of the Veritas, has shown throughout Eroz's absence that he is able to generally manage the ship while still helping anyone out. I do not know anyone else that knows more about the Matrix, yet he does not brag about it. He is always willing to help someone out, be it either by giving advice or by coding a piece of clothing. Da6onet's expansive coder library further shows his dedication to the Matrix and his long /play time. He always found a time to jack in, and always seemed to be online when everyone was and when no one else would be.

Both of these candidates I whole-heartedly approve of.

While I would be honored to take on the role of Captain, I think Dagonet is much better suited for the position.  When he's jacked in, he's always doing something.  Be it PvPing, coding, or learning more about the combat system than I thought was possible to learn.  The guy is a powerhouse in his knowledge of the matrix.

And he's pretty much staked the claim on /mood fidgety.  That's gotta count for something.  

Dag is extremely level-headed, both in-game and on TS.  He's able to take charge when there's no immediate leadership available.  He's done his part to keep a respectable persona among the community, which in turn helps keep the faction respectable.

I would have to agree with the posts before me, maybe not pirus', but Dag has ben a terrific member and would be a great leader.  I don't know anyone who has done as much as he has to better this faction and knows as much as he does about the Matrix and how it works.  I think he is the ideal candidate and has been deserving of this for sometime.

I nominate Manic; had no idea he was not a captain/ staff deja and have always afforded him the respect I think he deserves. Further, his posting on DN1 recruitment thread (together with the ever changing sig) ensures he has a sufficiently high profile to captain this ship. Best of luck chaps.

Though I appreciate the sentiment... I turned over the reigns of running the new recruit ship to Bellthazor sometime ago.  If it is ever needed that I take the reigns of another ship again I'm sure Tbone will notify me.... As of right now though I am comfortable in my role as FM of FA's Flag Ship, and will continue to see that things run smoothly (cough cough) when the boss is away.  

I think we have some really well deserving members who have put in the time and effort and have the respect of everyone to justify their placement as captain... Besides we all know no one really likes Broin... You all just fear that he'll show up on your doorsteps someday...

And who wants a Capt like that?

Oh and so as not to get off topic any more than I already have... I'll just say let's stick on topic  :p

I think Da6onet is a very good choice for Captain, however I think Anamodiel would also make a great Captain. They are both extremly active in game and on the forum(both MXo and FA boards).

I hope Ana will except the nomination as well
