LOL, I created so you can't see anything straight on, but when you either tilt your monitor or look at it from a skewed angle it shows up.  It was definitely intentional.

Ah, got CRT mixed up with monitors in general.  Mine's a flatscreen, but no matter how I change my iewing angle, I can't see Yotogi's sig. :(

If your contrast/brightness is too high everything will just appear white. What you want to do is use a pattern to assist in setting the contrast so that you don't 'lose' shadows.
