Well I ended up asking Amazon to kick my preorder up to a collectors edition, they sent me a new key as well but my swtor account wont let me upgrade my preorder key. sooooooo, I am not for sure how to proceed.

You have to either contact EA customer support or you have to create a new account. Good luck on whichever you decided to go with.
