A rough decission.
« on: March 21, 2012, 07:45:32 pm »
Well guys, I'd like to start by saying, this is of my own accord and was not approached by anyone.  My priorities have always been PVE and this guild has firmly set it's nitches with groups of people who can and can't go with them to PVE or PVP.

For the past couple of months, I've been scouting out PVE guilds who meet the same needs as I do.  I've looked at guilds strictly on Jung MA, as to keep a friendship with those in FA that would like to hang out.

My decission came to me while I was at a project just recently for work.  I will be stepping out of FA, on good terms with all of you.  I joined for a friend, who doesn't really play anymore... Since then, I've mulled over all the guilds I applied to and was accepted into, but will only be moving to the one that has been presenting itself the best out of them.

As members and officers here may get pissed, I will be moving to Odyssey.  I spoke with External about this for a while, letting him know how I felt and why I was doing this.  I enjoyed the time with the guild and wish yall the best in your progression.

Farewell Angels, you will be missed.

While there's only so much we can do to accommodate every single person when it comes to raids, all three of our raid groups are currently trying to get more people on their roster (Group 2 is hurting for at least two more permanent members). These raid groups also raid at very different times (early evening, late evening, and weekend afternoons).

While I can buy that your schedule may have kept you out of becoming a permanent member of any of these raids, I have a hard time swallowing that you weren't allowed to raid due to "firmly set" niches.

Regardless, if you don't feel like you belong, than you don't belong. I'm sorry it didn't work out. Best of luck.

I said PVE in general, not just the raiding aspect.  Certain groups of people set their standard people and no one, outside of those people, were allowed to accomidate a missing body.  I've watched it happen with these few people time and time again, in PVE and PVP, do this, regardless of who offered to fill the spot.  Some of these people are Officers.  I spoke with External about this, so if this is going to be followed up with anyone, he'd be the guy to talk to about it.

There are cliques in FA, like all large guilds, which is an issue - but one that most SHOULD strive to eliminate.

Hope to see you out here... GL.

Cliques are one thing.

Having an undesirable attitude to play with is another thing.

You'll work out wherever you land; you're a Texan and I have faith in that fact. Best of luck to you.

Unfortunate turn of events this is.  Deception I sense.

Good to see people always doubting that things just don't work out.  Always has to be something shady going on underneath.

Quoted for emphasis, as I believe that's the larger reason for this.

Jazzy, this is nothing new with Odyssey. Intentions be whatever they may be, after the third or fourth go-around, pattern recognition kicks in and suspicions are bound to rise.

Now lets let this sleeping dog lie and get back to our regularly scheduled guild!

All I can say is that there will never be a group of people that are going to fit your desires perfectly. If they do than it won't be forever, we all have to take the good and the bad of every group of people we play with. Either way good luck with Odyssey, hopefully this will be the last I hear of that guild on these forums. No dissrespect intended, just feels like drama is beginning to stir up with them.

I know this isn't necessarily the thread for this ... But personally I'd rather have a roster of 40 that all are amazing players and all work well with each other ... I'm not much of a clique'y kind of guy myself and I understand some aspects but I will agree with sared
