Ok, I don't know if anyone else knows about this but the creators of Diablo formed their own development company called Flagship and they are currently creating a game called Hellgate: London. Here is a link to the Gamespot page, although I'm sure you can find it at IGN or somewhere else too.

http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/hellgatelondon/index.html

It is an RPG told from the FPS perspective, although, it is more RPG than FPS. It takes place 25 yrs in the future and 5 yrs after a Hellgate opens over London and there is a demon apocalypse. The weapons are very unconventional and are fully upgradeable. If you attach a special part to the gun in the inventory page, you will see that part functioning on the gun, in real time, in the game (did I mention, they also have swords?). Everything about this game looks simply amazing and I expect nothing less from the Diablo pioneers. I will definitely have my eye on this one, hope you all will too.

Hmm, looks a lot like what the Deus Ex series and Pariah have been toying with. Have you played Deus Ex Xtreem?

I played the first level of the the first part and just gave up. I thought it was pretty crappy despite the good reviews of it. The whole stealth FPS just pissed me off cuz it was so hard that I just got frustrated and did something else; never went back to it. Granted, I never got far into the game, I didn't really like it.

When Deus Ex came out, I only had a PII 400mhz, with crappy 2mb IGP graphics so there was no way I was playing! :S
