Okay im in the early stages of building a new computer and What I need to know is a good brand for a motherboard even better someone can find me a good motherboard that has 2 pci express slots and socket t hyperthreading dont really care that much what ram it takes, but not one that takes only the most expensive ram you can buy.

I havent really researched anything yet but just glancing at it I thought this was good. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813127192

Don't believe everything you think.

Asus has always been good to me.  Eleven years of building and very few duds yet

I'll push Gigabyte as well...
Never had a single problem with them, been using their mobo's in a lot of self-builds for myself and others.

One note - I would advise getting a mobo that takes DDR. DDR2, on the other hand, is bad at the moment. DDR2 is technically twice as slow, but when bus speeds get twice as fast as they are now, DDR2 will be better.

If you find a 400MHz DDR chip, it runs faster than a 400MHz DDR2 chip.
800MHz DDR2 will run at roughly the same as 400MHz DDR.
You have been warned.

I'm a total frickin rock star from mars.
C'mon bro, I got tiger blood.

I'd like tp push Gigabyte as well. They have a ton of options and ports, and it's all pretty simple to setup.
I had a small issue trying to setup the SATA manually through bios, but thats because it was my first time - I would have done that with any board. Now it's a breeze. One of the negative things about Gigabyte boards is that they can cost a bit more on the high end.

Some other great brands - ASUS, Abit, and also AOpen. I have not played aorund with AOpen boards, but a friend of mine raves about them.
