The man is good.

Though I disagree somewhat with his stance on federal government's role in education. There needs to be a national minimum standard for the curriculum (us and world history, math, english, science, health <-- not just sex ed, but basic first aid and study of common diseases/health problems) so that local communities don't go preaching intelligent design crap in their classes or telling their kids that chinese babies are spawned from lizards and you can get pregnant by screwing men in the ass.... or can you... o.O
If all the world's problems were solved today, what would you have left to do tomorrow?

Ron Paul is Magneto:

Please note that this image does not represent my political stance on the guy, of which I have none, nor is it indicative of any opinions I may have about Magneto.  It is simply the result of about ten minutes spent in photoshop after a comment made by a friend of mine.  :)

Well put post in the AOL poll RP is currently winning... (yeah yeah, he wins every online poll - doesn't say much)

Quote
Ron Paul's message...

Limited Government
Real Respect for the constitution.
(No laws that attack our individual civil liberties... exe: the Patriot Act. Warrantless Wire-tapping, suspension of Habeus Corpus...etc.)
No personal income tax
(though there are still plenty of taxes that ARE constitutional and actually do something other than take away our income.)
No policing of the world, no nation building.
(It's high time the rest of the world acted like adults and took a little responsibility for themselves.)
Sound Economic Policy.
(return to pre 1971 gold backed dollar to stop inflation, and restore global confidence in the now rapidly devalueing dollar.)
Defense of OUR National Borders
(Currently we spend trillions over-seas to protect the borders of foreign nations... some of which are despotic dictatorships, all the while thousands and thousands of undocumented illegals cross our borders with no regard for our laws every year. If Al-Quaeda wanted to sneak terrorists into the U.S. they just need a vacation in Tijuana first, then a hop skip and a jump and they're in the U.S.A. This does not make sense.)

and there's more... CRAZY ideas, where that came from...

What are the other candidates plans for our nation, do they even say? Can they explain how we'll pay for it? Can they convince you with their records that the vague campaign promises they make will hold any water once they're elected?

Let's not forget this message.
Ron Paul is the most honest man in Congress.
Ron Paul has the most consistent, fiscally conservative voting record of any elected official in the last 100 years.
Ron Paul has the integrity to tell the truth, even when it isn't what people want to hear.
even when the main stream media tries to slander this fine and patriotic Ph.D.

Dr. Paul is waking up the nation.
and he makes The message clear.

Do not be distracted by the 9/11 truthers.
Do not be scared by the enthusiasm of Dr. Paul's supporters. (they just act crazy to get your attention)
Do not let the biased media tell you how to vote.

Heck, don't even let ME tell you how to vote.

look him up. RonPaul2008.com

get informed, and get out to vote... while it still can make a difference.

I also find this interesting... Even though this particular image is from Q3 of last year, it resembles donations from Q2 and last I heard projected Q4 (unsure if final Q4 amounts had been tallied)

The only candidate very clear about getting out of Iraq right now gets the most support? I'm not shocked.

Anyone who is/has served in the armed forces or has a family member/close friend who is/has served knows that the ultimate goal is to not use force against anyone and likewise not to have force imposed on the military. Policing another country is NOT our job and against our constitution. Any soldier will tell you that they will give their life for the job, but no sane/rational person wants to kill or die and a soldier wants to think he's doing his job for a greater cause.

Let's compare the greater cause:
Defensive wars which defend the sanctity of our rights and freedoms. This is what our founding father's had in mind and what Ron Paul wants us to move back to.
Aggressive wars which attack other nations without a declaration of war and policing/occupying said nations.

Now I don't agree with Ron Paul on the idea that we should get rid of all our foreign military bases. From a strategic standpoint it makes sense that friendly nations band together to have a network of defense AND emergency response points. When the tsunami's hit, and Bill Clinton pointed this out, America's ability to send it's military force there in a short amount of time to help with rescue, recovery and rebuilding efforts made us as a country look really good in the international community (it was a talking point on "exporting good will").
