Removal: Tinth and Uyematsu

Unfortunately, sometimes it is necessary for us to remove members. When this happens, we like to inform everyone so that there are no secrets as to why something like this happens. It's not something I like doing, but as most of you know, it is necessary to keeping a well-run, tight-knit group going.

Tinth was an easy decision. After his interview I did not have a single conversation with him. He posted once on our forums to say he was checking in, but never even logged onto Teamspeak. If you're going to be that inactive right from the get go, don't bother.

Uyematsu was a bit more complicated but still an easy decision. His activity had been sporatic at best, and while he had been on more than Tinth, his attitude is what really sealed his fate. I respect the opinions of our members - even when they disagree with me. It's not wise, however, to try to create a good first impression by insulting the guild leader and saying that you wish the guild had a "real guild leader who would just make a decision and not try be a democracy to appease care bears".

Despite his insanely rude comments, I gave him a chance to apologize or make up for his strange outbursts. He did not do this, however, and instead posted a thread stating he was going to be inactive for about a month for "personal reasons". Too much drama way too soon. As Broin would say, you gotta "nip it in the bud".

Uyematsu and Tinth were actually friends (gaming friends, I think...maybe also in RL), so it was very convenient that they were both equally disappointing. I suspect they were simply idling in our community while searching for that perfect "dictator non-carebear" community. That's only speculation, however, and luckily, it is no longer our problem.

Insulting the guild leader is our right! However having a crack at someones actual personality or way of doing things is no ones right so good riddance, out with the trash.

Wow, I had no idea Uyematsu was such a jackass. I mean doesen't everyone know how awesome Tbone is (or at least how awesome we're supposed to pretend he is)?

As for that crap.. yeah.. um.. glad to not be gaming with that. It would probably make me mute them immediately...
