I read so many theories... it would just be nice one day to know WHY they did things the way they did - what they meant you know?  I reckon they lost track and let the viewers add more to the plot than they intended...

i kind of agree.  i'm sure they left so many things without explanation to leave room for us to come up with what we think.  i never tire of reading everyone's theories.  i even think the wachowski's don't necessarily have an explanation for everything in the matrix world.   they say they have the first year of MxO story already written.  after that, what?   i wouldn't doubt that they end up continuing the story with some ideas of the fans.  their have been some great ones.



btw, i checked out that ETM FAQ and this was what I find the most interesting:

Man    : That's exactly how long Zion lasted last time.

any ideas to who this was?  a survivor from a previous version?

I recall someone saying something like that in a subway station.  Are subway stations somehow outside the Matrix universe?  In the way that Neo got stuck there in the white station (the name of which I forget).  Maybe it's a political statement about the homeless being invisible, or maybe I made that up.  Or maybe it's something about our desire to only go underground when we have to, or maybe I made that up too.
