So, let's discuss this goofy ass ending.

First we have the Wachowski's showing up as 8-bit characters and dumping Megasmith in our laps.  And after you beat him, you see Zion cheering and the "sunrise" all to the cheerful tune of "We Are The Champions."

Well, considering that it was all a big joke and since I have a sense of humor, I thought it was funny.

Dude, I laughed my ass off when Orien told me about it. When I actually saw it I was tearing at the eyes it was so hilarious. It was so intentionally lame that it was genius. The damn "We are the champions" was just too much.

["The jesus stuff in video games is just lame. So we suggested to have you fight*deep voice* A GIANT MEGASMITH MONSTER"]

Oh man. The Wachowski's are geniuses. That was the perfect slap in the face to all those people who didn't like the ending of the trilogy.

I loved it.  I've never laughed so hard at a video game.  To be honest, if the movie had ended like that, I would have seriously considered homicide.  But after all the talk and all the hype surrounding this super secret alternate ending, I couldn't help but laugh.

At first when I saw the 8-bit Wachowski's, I thought, "You've gotta be kidding me."  I thought that was the extent of the joke, and the deep philosophical ending would be coming soon.  Then, as I saw the beautiful CG of the Mega Smith being formed, I said aloud, "You've gotta be kidding me."  Ok ok, it's a typical video game ending, but when do we get to the mind-blowing philosphy?  Then, when I began to hear Queen, I fell onto my bed and cracked up.  "You've gotta be KIDDING me!"  The Wachowski's pulled a fast one on me, and I took it hook, line, and sinker.

I think it was a bit of satire on the Wachowski's part after all the bad reviews of Reloaded and Revolutions.  Everybody who hated the theatrical ending to Revolutions was expecting Neo to live and have  the happy music playing in the background.  The Wachowski's are seemingly poking fun at such an ending (as well as at the people that expected it) by making it as cheesy as possible in the video game.

I'm mixed.... Part of me feels like its a disservice to the matrix... but then again the ending isn't really supposed to be apart of the matrix Realm neway.

the other part... couldn't help laughing. I've scene the clips of the congress stage... that part's the best!

Yea, but you have to see. All the Wachowski's heard was criticisms of an ending that is pretty damn perfect for a movie of that nature. So, as a nice kick in the face of all the idiots who didn't like it and didn't get it, they dumb it down and give it a very played out lame ending that is just so clitche' that it's damn hilarious.

It's sort of a peek at what the movie could have turned into if they would have kept to the whole black and white/good and evil mentality the first film had and had someone like Paul WS Anderson write the final action scene. Coming from people like them, I think it's pure genius; kudos to the Wachowskis. It takes a truly admirable to person to make fun of something they had created themselves and love so much.

you know people that didn't understand the ending of Revolutions  are STILL not gonna get it though...

their gonna be like "OMGWTF?!?! THIS GAME SUXORS!" because their too dumb to realize that that was the ending they wanted in revolutions to begin with... kinda.

haven't read anything posted because i'm still playing it.  probably won't be in MxO or TS til i finish.  i think the game is fun, but so far the i'm dissapointed that i'm not seeing more story that was missing from the movies.  was hoping there would be a lot of this to answer some questions and bring up new ones.  i have only finished the first movie worth of lvls, tho, so maybe it gets better.

After you beat the game, at the selevt stage screen, the last level is called Zion Archives.  Does anyone know what to do in there?

******* For Bentonn*******
Yes, the game gets much better in terms of action and kick ass stuff once you become The One.

******back to discussion********
I think the archives are just there to show off some wacky models they put together that aren't even really in the game. I really do wish they would have added more to the revolutions story. I never thought that right after the burly brawl, it would jump you right into the super burly brawl. They should have shortened those damn annoying training constructs and added more of those bluepill rescue missions. Nothing gets better than that Skull's Lament level. That is something you can tell the Wachowskis did because it actually has some philosophical bearing and fits the movie's feel very well.

larry wachowski basically breaks down exactly what happens in revolutions, but nobody wants to hear that shit so they sped it up.. but it's heavy on information you can spend a few weeks learning about...

like i was just thinking about the concept of satori that same day, and the day before, and currently one of my anime shows they're fighting the priest satori.... it's a zen buddhist concept, and neo's blindfold thing always reminded me of a true zen master.

one of the best video game endings in a long ass time.. game endings are all stupid lately.. but this is better than some fake cliche ending that gives into the demands of 'wannabe fans' who think they understood the matrix, but just didn't like the last two because they can't comprehend fractal mathematics, quantum physics, and spirituality/philosophy..

notice in this game, they use lots of fractals now.. like everytime you pick out your abilities, behind neo's rsi is a fractal, and yada yada...

i always bring it up as a tool to teach people about the matrix, seems the wachowskis have noticed that i've been alone in trying to break it down, so they just smother us with fractrals in the game instead..

they both went to this magnet school by my house growing up so they're big time geeks..

but yeah, they grew up catholic, but you'll usually catch them reading the baghavad gita or comic books, or S.E.S. from Ken Wilber is the last thing I remember Larry actually read with his dad.

but um yeah, they both majored in advanced mathematics and minored in world religions... now how the heck did they go on to make movies..

in case you're wondering, andy is more of the action kinda guy, larry is a bit deeper ;x

There is a pinball game hidden, and there might be an empty slot on the level select screen for a hidden apu battle that should fit in perfect with that empty slot, as if you had the chance to play, that's where the level would be located..
