Not Playing the Game

Some of you still check the forums regularly but never play the game. I wouldn't be surprised if some of you have cancelled accounts and we just haven't caught on. If you are no longer playing MxO, just let us know. If it's a temporary thing, then we can work something out, but we don't need captains of ships who no longer play. Thanks.

Yeah... I am one that hasn't played in a LONG time... lots of stuff going on lately so.

I'll be honest and say that i have a station account to play other games... but hell i haven't logged on those other games in a long time either.

i don't need to log onto teamspeak to see who is on, and when i'm able to play, i look at the site and everyone is away

when i jump ingame i see maybe 2 people

school and needing money to even pay for my account take precedence right now, thanks

I've been scarecely ingame of late.. about an hour a week in total and usually when no one else is on... its enough to keep me caught up in storyline missions etc...  However like Grim said, school is taking precedence.

I wasn't referring JUST to the captains, but they are my primary concern. The reason why I single the captains out is that they do have more responsibility than a regular member. When captains were first appointed, they were told that they need to try to check in on Teamspeak as much as possible, as well as be a leader both on the website and in-game.

I want to reward those who are currently working hard in those areas. Not to mention we have to keep up with upkeep such as deleting members who are no longer on our roster (only captains can delete crew members), so it's kind of important.

As for the faction itself being inactive, I can tell you that's false. During the break I've been around pretty much at all times of the day, and there's always a few people gaming - up to 12 or so at peak hours. I'm seeing the same names, though, so I'm trying to find out what's going on with the names I don't see on TS or in-game, but may see every once in a while on the forums.

To Grim: Do you still play under the name Grimkitten on Vector? I remember at one time you were playing in a different server...

I had actually just messaged Ket about the very thing. I try to consistently check the roster to make sure that whoever is no longer on the site is no longer FA ingame, but that's exceedingly hard when there haven't been inactive/deleted posts as of late, and for some reason Ket wasn't on my ship ingame, and I didn't know if he was tagless or jumped onto another ship without saying anything.

Yes, I'm still GrimKitten on Vector, I don't play on any other server. I made characters on a couple of the others (when there were 12 or so servers) when it was requested that we do so, when we spoke of extending to other servers, and I made xGrimKittenx, xxGrimKittenxx and so on, but only went as far as to create them, I don't play on them.

And I never said the faction was inactive, I simply said that the hours I have available to play, rarely is anyone on, and thus I get bored and don't stay on long.

I have just be busy with the holiday season. I will be on alot more now that school is starting.  I've been busy between work, family and my girlfriend who lives here(which is 2 hours away from school).  I will be back at school probably on wednesday.

I get on a few days a week for an hour or so each session.  I'm here to stay as well.  

I start classes on the 9th at my other school, (two schools, 18 credits between), but I'm more than likely going to drop two classes for a refund before the deadline.  I won't be on as much during test weeks, namely mid-term and final exams, otherwise my time won't be affected.

Thanks for the big slap in the face.

Me and many other members of the faction work our asses off to PvP, roleplay, make movies, and even farm.

I don't know when you come online and see 2 people but even if there are 2 people online I don't suppose you log onto TS and make it 3 do you?

The fact is you are making up bad excuses of why you can not longer participate with us and you are trying to say in the process we are all inactive anyway. It is insulting to people who spend there time in game having fun, and always holding up the respect of The Furious Angels.

I try to log on at least once a day.  If I don't have my Matrix fix, I start to get cranky.

Just trying to find a happy medium now that I have a girlfriend.  If I'm not online, I'm either with her, at work, or I've already had a few hours play time and I'm taking a break.

Guys...please don't argue in here. I understand that there are some problems going on about how much time we can dedicate to the faction, but it isn't grounds for fighting like this. When I joined FA, it held the mentality that we were a group of close friends; No, a family. Let's keep it that way.

I, myself, understand the difficulties of being on as I have things I must do outside of the game that consume a lot of my time, and I'm sure others do as well. At the very least, those who are busy log onto the forums. I used to not log onto TS either because of the low population; it's no excuse, but that was my reasoning.

However, for the sake of keeping things under control, please don't fight in here; talk in private about it. I hope things get settled in a reasonably swift amount of time, so that we can get back to growing and nurturing this family of hardcore players we've built.
