i love just about any techno, trance, stuff of the like (Rob Dougan and JUNO REACTOR! WHOO!) i like iron maiden, metallica (older songs) a fewq songs from slipknot (they are soft now) megadeth, a little bit of slayer (too repetative there songs sound the same) but as of late its the Melodic Power Metal that im in love with... its really different bands like Stratovarius ( father time and learn to fly are good) and sonata arctica (wolf and raven  along with  san sebastian are great favs of mine), along with other bands like rhapsody and kamelot which kinda have the same quick drum paced tune. W00t for Melodic power metal!

All the American Pie soundtracks kicked ass.

And today, the way I will look at music videos was changed forever. Possibly the video to save videos from mediocrity came out. The new Linkin Park video, "Breaking the Habit", was introduced to the general public today. Even though its anime, trust me, its like some bizarre film noir story. ITs kicks the proverbial ass.

And for good measure, "Ch-check it Out", the new beastie boys song, also kicks the "proverbial" ass.

Linkin Park blooooooooooooooooooows. People only listen to em because mtv plays them.

Beastie Boys ROCK!!, especially the checi it out video. I loooooooved it.

On the subject of music videos though, best video ever ever ever would have to be Fat Boy Slim's Weapon of Choice video with Christopher Walken. After that comes some crazy eighties music video i saw once, followed by toxic.

the best video ever, ever in history was"Smack My Bitch Up"

Not for the light hearted.

And as for youre linkin park statement, thats why they sell 14 million albums. Why do people keep those 14 million albums? Because they are the best mainstream band right now. And just check out the linkin park video. I hated "Smack my Bitch UP" as a song, but still, the video does kick, *ahem*, the proverbial ass.Its more of a mini movie than a music video.

Like you said, they sell 14 million albums cos they are on MTV. Like i said, people keep the 14 million albums because it be a wsate to throw away something they spent $15 dollars. The second linkin park goes off MTV and is gone from "mainsteram" 99% of those albums will be lost in the backs of closets excluding the select few who actually like them, replaced by whatever new band everyone is listening too.

hmmmm.....well, youre lucky if you ever see them on mtv anymore....except for mtv2, in which many, many good bands are on(incubus, velvet revolver, and suprisingly, theyre now even playing AFI) you wont see them any more. And the point of my post was to say that the video kicks the proverbial ass. Not that linkin park is like the best band. And just like any band, you listen to whats new. Only bands that have lasting power(normally bands like velvet revolver or NOFX) get your attention 10 years later.

FUSE is by far the better channel I mean come on, they have Taking back Sunday, and they play only actual rap music. Not the ja rule and ashanti crap MTV plays.

I dont have FUSE anymore i dont think :(. The best was The Box, they played good music non-stop all night and then porn. I dont know how that got figured out but it rocked.
