He was declined after his interview, but here is his plea:


"I spoke with the operative Zen Cao last night regarding his failed application to join Furious Angels following what I gather was a less than inspiring interview.  Intel suggests that Zen failed on the most important of answers, why he would want to join, and that there were questions on his commitment.

Without any prompting, Zen has suggested the reason he failed that question and the reply he would have given; which I have taken the liberty of supplying here in full resolution so that you can assess their authenticity:

Despite being an actor, it seems Zen still "froze up" during the period of questioning.  He did mention finding Broin intimidating, and as such he accidentally insulted the Hacker tree.

There are also concerns on the two alts Zen runs through his RSI jack-in.  One of them is a low level Machine operative and the other a low level Merovingian.  Zen states that these are his brothers (they share a common name) and he uses this for "RP" within the system.  I have suggested he may try to purge their RSIs from the mainframe and recreate, which he is willing to consider, though this may be an extreme action.  The alliances they have are with Liquid Hyuzu and Les Enfants Terrible, factions well known for their own "RP" activities.  It would seem Zen is very much interested in the acting profession he has aligned himself to."

Also... "Word has come in that Zen has removed his alts from the Vector server."

Anyway, you guys voted no, so it's really up to you guys if you want to give him a second interview. Post what ya think.

I don't like giving second chances, and this guy is still way too shady, so my answer remains the same.

I origionaly voted to give him a chance, but during discussion afterwards was convinced otherwise. I agree, he was a little odd, but who am I to judge? Second interview would not be my choice.

Giving a second interview should be for people who had extenuating circumstances such as:
-Bad microphone/sound quality now remedied
-Traumatic event just occuring that affected cadidates state of mind (ie, extreme downer vs normally happy)
-Somebody who had positive merovingian or machine rep and now has positive zion rep
-Few people at first interview and recording lost (meaning our fault)
-Person turns out not to be a spy (Sorry Ana :-p)

This guy doesn't fall into any of those categories, he's just not mature enough yet. In a few years I'll add another category to the above list:

-Was pre-pubescent, now remedied.

I agree with Da6onet, I don't think he has earned a second interview. I think having time to rethink your answers and give the right ones at a later time is not a just reason for a second interview.
