Has anyone seen the new Zelda shown at E3? They've made it look realistic again, with no cel-shading! It looks amazing! And you can ride Epona again!!! *goes off to weep with joy*

Thank god! I thought wind waker was kind of a disappointment as far as Zelda's go.

What would be kinda cool is if they remade some of the old classics into 3d. If they screwed it up I'd be pissed though.

*Imagines LttP in 3-d.....wakes up*

Ya, the new Zelda was the highlight of the show for me. That and the new resident evil. And the DS. If it wasnt for me knowing it will be 300, the PSP would have been to.

Sorry guys, but can I ask you why do you find Zelda so attractive? The game seems.....plain and everyday - Just wondering why you guys like it so much. The only one that appealed to me was the one where you could like use the masks.

i dont like the new zeldas, stupid crap, really short and lame story.  i enjoyed the regular nintendo zeldas, those r truly classics, i still play those games, until my dumbass bro dropped the nintendo....idiot. but yah i dont like any of the new ones, old ones will always be the best. on a side note, i'd have to say that if they made Contra in3d that would be pretty tight, using maybe halflife engine or unreal?

Nostalgia is what gets people to play the game. But in every game in the series (Other than Links Awakening and Wind Waker) the gameplay has been flawless, and Z targeting from OoT(one of the top ten games of all time IMHO) and MM is perfect. The graphics push the limit. In Wind Waker, on paper the graphics seem pretty average. But in gameplay, the graphics are nearly unsurpassed in beuty.

Zelda I was revolutionary, and other than Links Awakening and Zelda II, theyve all been very, very revolutionary.
Beuty is in the eyes of the beholder.

My fav is Link to the Past and OoT. Best 2d and 3d Zelda's in my opinion.

Yeah, both were great.  If you liked Link to the Past (and you have a gamecube, a GBA, and friends with GBAs) pick up Legend of Zelda: Four Swords.  Good multiplayer gameplay, lots of fun.

I'm not exactly sure how the NES storylines were any better than OoT or Windwaker's, seeing as how they really didn't have too much of a story.  But to each his own.  I go to Zink for gaming advice like I go to Wilt Chamberlain for advice on remaining abstinent.

That said, has anyone actually played Windwaker or did you just see screenshots and prejudge it?  The vast majority of people that have played the game through loved it, as did the majority of the review community.

As for my reasons on Zelda?  It's simple: boy meets girl, girl gets kidnapped, boy saves girl.  It's so simple that it sells itself with the endearing characters.

Zelda OoT was much more than that. It is my favorite game of the series, and the only time it boils down to that storyline is at the end. And you can draw many similarities between OoT and LttP if you judge them closely....

And yes Wind Waker was an excellent game. Not as godd as the 64 Zeldas, but those are two of the best games of there era.
