Honestly, I have no sympathy for the shooter and only wished that some of those students would have attacked him while he was reloading (because you know he had to at some point) and clawed his F$@!$% eyes out.
Secondly, this isn't quite the same but I used to attend Georgia Southern and had an apartment building right next to a restaurant/bar. Well, I had locked my keys in my car so I was trying to break in at (11 pm) and heard sirens and saw police lights through the trees seperating the apartment complex with the bar. So, I got my roommates and we walked all ten feet through the trees and saw them taping off the bar and an ambulance wheeled someone out with the sheet over the head (he was dead). I found out later that the guy had just broken up with his girlfriend, she was chilling at the bar with another guy friend and he came in. Said to her if she didn't get back together with him he would shoot himself. She said, "Do it, because I am not dating you again," and he walked out to the parking lot and did it.
All I could think was how lucky this girl and the bar patrons were that this guy decided to turn it on himself instead of everyone else.
This is scary shit and nothing the school could have done could have prevented this. NOTHING. I am under the long time belief that the media should be held personally responsible for what they report, don't shoot the messenger is bullshit *THIS IS SPARTA*, and if they report falsehoods it should effect there jobs.
