people mistake hip hop with the same genre as the following artists:
mc hammer
vanilla ice
kris kross
tag team (whoop there it is, fukin stupid song lol)

lol, you worded it fine because that was the impression that i got from reading your post. My post was more or less just a general statement to anyone that didn't understand that people that listen to rap don't usually listen to the crap that is in mainstream. And to add on to that, most people that are into *any* type of music don't usually listen to the mainstream shit. Because if I would have based ALL rock music by what is in mainstream, I would say that I don't like rock and that it sucks. However I hang out with people that listen to some really good shit, so I do like rock. ^^

And like Arch mentioned mainstream music should be classified as *pop*

Boombye: Gal4, QBert's video, MixMaster M, basically tour whole post = me. Wow, well I shouldn't be that surprised, I have a good group of friends over here that are into that too, so...

Subtek: I agree, RAP is its own genre. In fact, you could RAP over anything.. trance, country... accapella.. And yes, HH is a way of life originally, (for all those not sure) it came together somewhere when MCing, DJing, graffiti, and breakdancing came together. IT was ALWAYS a YOUTH movement, nothing to do with Black culture, although many pioneers were of course Black, and it was something that they took a hold of.

I will maintain that there are is a lot of GOOD MUSIC out there that will appeal to others, if it weren't for that darn rap screaming over the top of it. I have many instruments (have to in my group) and most of them are beautiful original works, that would work as Funk or Soul... R & B and some pop that is in the charts (boy bands/whatever).

Anyway, glad to see some Like Minded People in here

word, i have to support my local talent like gal4 and juice, and all natural.. in fact my friend bryan, im not sure if i mentioned this, designed mc juice's(guy who could fade eminem in battles anyday, and did at the battle eminem was discovered at by dre who needed a gimmick) website and all all-natural's

you mean use TS as the radio? You are in a channel and you "mic" is on all the time?
You would change your "record" volume so that WAVE is selected (double click the volume control)
