Bomb Threat?!

Ok, so I'm at work (Charter Communications Call Center), on break, minding my own damned business and browsing through these FA forums.  I was about to post something when a couple of people rushed past me.  Ok, no biggie. Some people are in a hurry.  So, I go back to the forums and get ready to post something.  The next person to rush by tells me I have to get out of the building because someone had just called in a bomb threat.   So I get up and sure enough, every employee in the building is leaving through the nearest exits.

Apparently, some dumbass decided that we, their cable company, was worth facing federal charges and decided to threaten to blow us up.  Ok, find and dandy, but aren't there easier ways to get a better price on cable or to get your cable installed when you want it?  I guess they'll have "free" cable in the nearest federal pen.

The up side is that I got to go home early.

I remember highschool where everyday there was someone calling in a bomb threat....got to the point where for a week we had metal detectors put in place and we were searched daily by the police. We went home like 5 or 6 times before it got to the point where we would go outside,stay there for an hour while they "searched" the school then put us back in class.

Its more of an annoyance then anything else.

Well, unfortunately I work dispatch, so there isn't much I can do.   Well there is, but only if you're in Michigan and I'd have to look for a new job after I did it.
