I'm gonna call bullshit on the fact that it was a dream and not just some fan fiction you made up.  While well written and cool, there's way too much detail in the dialog.  Also, anyone that knows you in real life knows that the only way your lazy ass was awake at 8:30am is because you've been up all night, which means you never went to sleep, which means you never had a dream.  You need to stop livin' on front street and just say you made that shit up.

unfortunatly, grifter, you'd be wrong. firstly none of the dialogue is 100% the exact same as it was in the dream, though that should obviously be a given. I'll admit you're right on it being 8:30 and I had been up all night. this happened the previous night when I was sleeping at my parents house. im bg into ideaologies behind lucid dreaming, and one of them to train your mind in doing such is writing down your dreams right after you wake up, to learn to recognize them and train your mind to remember them better. I wrote the dream down when I woke up the morning of the 5th, so Id be able to write it down here later. not that any of that matters, it's always great when your buddies call you a liar when you're not and dont believe you. *shrug* anyway.

Ive yet to actually become aware in a dream, but it'll be cool if it happens, from stuff I read up on it, some people are able to pull it off as soon as a couple weeks, some 6 months or longer. Ive definitly gotten better at keeping the memories of dreams in my mind after waking up though, whereas when I was younger Id forget a dream about 5 minutes after waking up and only remember bits of it throughout the next day

Back in high school I could lucid dream for about a year or so. It would happen all the time. A lot of times my dream would start to fade, or even after I knew it was a dream, I still had a hard time controlling it.

I've only been able to control my dreams a couple times since I read up on lucid dreaming when I was ten.  It's cool when it happens, but it's very hard to do.  Or maybe I'm trying too hard.

The last lucid dream I had, I ended up running down a long stretch of road that was shaped like a weird stairway.  I'd run down the slope as fast as I could, and when I came to a flat piece of road, I'd stomp my feet down and leap into the air.  Then I'd arc down back onto the street and do the same thing over and over again.  A friend of mine was chasing me in his busted up Ford Explorer, and some girl was taking pictures of it all.

Interesting writing, Adrenaline.  While I don't necissarily believe you dreamed all of that, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say that I think you may have filled in numerous blanks in the story.

one of the key ways to get control/lucid dream: try to read something. it will almost always be upside down or backwards. of course, if you're fucked up like me, it's rarely either, which probably isn't good .... but i think my brain/nervous system was wired by someone from dell ....

Strangely enough, I just had a lucid dream. I woke up this morning, put in a load of laundry, turned on the news for a while, and fell asleep for a few minutes. While I was taking this nap, I became aware that I was asleep.

I was in a shower - I'm not sure if it was running, but once I realized I was dreaming, I wanted to get out and go exploring. As I started to move the shower curtain, everything went into slow motion. I started to step out of the tub, but it was taking forever. I could see the door to the bathroom in front of me - it was very close, but I felt like I would never reach it.

When I finally pulled the shower curtain back and stepped out of the tub, I tried to inch towards the door. At this time I heard I think the mayor of New York on my tv that was still on. Suddenly I found myself falling backwards, back into the tub.

I landed hard on my rear, and while it SOUNDED like it would hurt, it didn't, because I knew I was dreaming. Once I landed, I started getting sucked backwards, away from the bathroom door. I got sucked through the wall, which no longer existed. I tried to refocus myself in order to regain control, but when I tried to focus, I ended up waking myself up.
