Because I would have felt stupid yelling into the microphone like Morpheus. In the Matrix, everyone talked like machines. It was part of the style. Keanu just stood there and read his line. Morpheus elongated everything. Agent Smith was just best known for it, since he is all machine, but even the humans in the Matrix seem to have picked up on some machine-like qualities.

Oh, yeah I remember that and the party we threw.   Still the best and biggest party ever thrown.  Way before open PVP....  If I remember correclty Tbone had a human shield of FA that worked like that worked like the LET bubble.  Damn you really needed that before the LET did

...i wish i could have spoken Y-Y :p i love giving speeches... especialy controvercial ones >.< last year for a speech contest i gave a speech on how galileo was my hero cause he told the catholic church to go fuck themselves, i also wore all black .... needless to say i didnt win, since half of the points was based on how you were dressed >.< BUT ANYWHO! I got second place Erhm, right. What was i ranting about again? Oh right, yea T you should have tried giving one like morpheus instead of smith :p banging on the desk and shouting into the mic, that would have been epic and scarry ALL AT THE SAME TIME!
