Got a beautiful transfer at 260MB, but the subtitles won't show up on it.  Can't win 'em all I guess.

By transfer I meant I converted the .avi to .mp4 (avc) using PSP video 9.  The subbies showed up just fine running the original video through Windows Media Player 10, but no subs on the PSP transfer.

Virtualdub has a subtitle plugin which can add it to the avi file before you run it through PV9.  There are plenty of tuts out there on how to do it

Download finished some time last night.  I watched the opening sequence this morning as I was brushing my teeth.  I couldn't help but hum to the theme song.

VirtualDub doesn't like it, since its a AVI with VBR the sound really messes up, (near the end its about 25 seconds off.) NubDub, seemed to work fine, but I didn't finish it all the way (if the movie is choppy when its being dub, is it choppy after you watch it? I didn't want to wait 4 hours to find out so I cancelled the dub) VirtualDubMod always crashes for me.

It would normally drop frames if you're previewing while encoding (turn off the preview if you can).  You can get VirtualDub to synch to audio but that's the problem with shitty bt downloads.  I have the DVD image so if I get it into PSP format and someone can host it I might consider it
