Ok, they said they were going to announce the details of Metal Gear Solid 4 at TGS (which is taking place this week) and they already have a magazine article with new pics from the game.

There was supposed to be an updated Trailer at the Tokyo Show.   I also dont think thats Snake.  That has Big Boss all over it.  Unless Snake decided to loose an eye and age rapidly fast.

Well it appears that is in fact Snake himself.  I read an article posted today on Gamepot and they said that this game takes place in a more distant future that anticipated.

why does otacon look the same while snake looks like an old badass geezer...

Nah, Otacon looks plenty older, especially around the eyes and mouth, maybe about 20 years older, not much older than 50-55.

Otacon was younger than Snake to begin with.

Yes otacon was about 10-15 years younger then Snake. plus Snake was about 35-40 in MGS

No Big Boss was Snake in MGS3 Boss was the girl.

Yes and no, same way Sephiroth is the son of Jenova (The Les Enfants Terribles project took Big Boss' DNA and made 2 clone sons, one with mostly dominant genes, and one with mostly recxessive genes, that the one with the dominant genes would be the best product possible, and possibly exceed the father, while the other would be merely a by-product.  These clone sons were Solid Snake and Liquid Snake, although it is never definitively clarified which of the 2 recieved the dominant genes.)

Yea its a complicated story if you havent played passed MGS1. Snake can make being old kick ass. Although im confused int he EGM article with the creator there was a screen with snake in a full beard not a mustache.
