Yea, I have to agree. Although this does seem to be a much better story to work off of, Ratner is outdoing him (who knows what Singer could have done?). It's nice to see that another director can come into a franchise and make it better after the previous director made it so badass though *shutters at Blade Trinity* Bryan Singer is great but I've always been more about X-Men than Superman anyways

But did he just outdo the trailers or the whole movie, for all we know the best parts of the movie are the whole trailer.

Well, one can only assume that those scenes from the trailer are from much larger and better scenes, that's the impression they give me. I kind of looks like there might Sentinels or Apokalypse too because of all the war-torn building and stuff. However, that could also be due to Pheonix. You can't know for sure, I'm just in awe at what I've seen and hopefully it will get better.

Sawyer from Lost should be Gambit in the next film, let's start a petition while we have someone in Hollywood that actually resembles Gambit..

I shudder to think at the possibility if they got the same people who casted for FF4 to find new mutants for X4...

Man, who cares about the looks? The looks are nothing, I would rather have the character's attitude over any looks. If the guy knows how to portray Gambit in the laid-back, suave, and badass manner he is, I don't care what he looks like. Looks can be easily altered with make-up and other special effects, I care about the acting :)

I have to agree, Kelsey Grammer is the perfect Hank McCoy.

On Gambit, they have to get the cajun accent right along with the attitude.  Everything else will fall into place.

Nerds!

Actually, I watched the trailer last night and it doesn't look too bad.  I've never really been a fan of the Marvel universe.  (I still haven't seen X2)  I'm waiting patiently for Superman Returns, as much as I can't stand the thought of anyone besides Christopher Reeve playing the man of steel.  I demand Warner Brothers bring him back to life, cure his paralysis and put him in the movie!

Kelsey Grammer as Beast will never look right to me, I don't think.  I'm sure when I see the movie I'll change my mind.  While watching the trailer he kept switching between really kickass looking (in the suit at the funeral), and at other points he seemed to be just a blue version of Teen Wolf.  I couldn't help but imagine Beast surfing on top of a moving van with sunglasses on while The Beach Boys played in the background.

As for denying Gambit screentime (again), this is a very effective marketing ploy.  They know everyone loves Gambit, and that's why they're leaving him out.  This gives the studio ample opportunity to string the fan base along, sequel after sequel after sequel.  My guess is, there will be two more sequels after X3 and Gambit will be in the final movie.

lol, the Teen Wold thing is kinda true. But hey, it's better than having him as some cheesy ass all CG character. Only gollum and Kong can make that shit look good :) Also, they better not wait that long of Gambit or else I'm gonna have to choke a bitch

I waited with much anticipation for x-3. And really, I tried not to spoil anything for myself by not trying to google film progress of the movie.

Well, so much for that....

after researching the film production and early scripts, I'm feeling kind of bummed.

by the time x4 rolls around, angel could become archangel and side up with apocalypse and the 4 horsemen for a short while, and they could bring gambit in, towards the end archangel could become good as with the comics, and then ya....

Damn, I just noticed that none other than Vinnie Jones (aka Big Chris from Lock, Stock...) is playing Juggernaut. He's a bad ass guy. It'll be interesting to see how he plays that role
