Pirate of the Burning Sea
« on: November 29, 2007, 12:08:02 pm »
I figured there was one for Ghostbusters, so let's not leave this one out.

Aethers new project is about to be released. I've been playing the beta for a while and it seems like a damn good game...preorders are in stores now.

Ship combat in this game is amazing and actually fun. Tons more fun with a group. It will be a game where PvP rules all-thank god. The non-ship combat leaves more to be desired from me, but there are excellent foundations.

The economy is completely user driven. You can buy basic ammunition and get some items from missions, but otherwise everything is player made - and that process is intricate and done very well.
I have my preorder which gets you into the game a week before normal launch, and a parot pet - I'm going to name mine Lits.

I am also a "Captain" in their Boarding Party, which is like LESIG for mxo. Let me know if youre interested. If you are in game, my full name in there is "Fuse BOX", a pirate.

I've been watching that game's development for a couple of years now.  I have even had a few of my flag designs accepted to be used in the game.  This is one of two MMOs I'm looking forward to playing.

awe-some. Whats the other? I played TR beta for a bit, wasn't inpressed enough to pay to play, but it's playstyle and Logos system made it hella interesting and a really fun storyline. I'm also looking forward to seeing more of Fallen Earth.

By the way, if I give you a basic png are you good enough to create a good flag sail design off it? It's really simple - an outline of a bomb from one of my old sigs. i also really want the FA angel on my sails!

I'm hearing LOTS of buzz about SGW... STO on the other hand looks like it could be good, but I havn't heard as many good things so far. They're both still young in the process though.

They are really strict about the image being something that would fit in the time period of the game.  I know the FA symbol as it currently stands would not fall into the appropriate catagory, but it could be redesigned to fit.

If you have an idea send it to me at phienyx@comcast.net and i'll do what I can.

The other MMO i'm looking forward to is Darkfall.  They have some very interesting sounding features that will set it apart from most other MMOs if they can pull them off.

I followed STO for a minute, but began to hate the direction they were taking with it.

I'm locked out for like 48 hours, i come back and ya'll are debating my parot-ness? *facepalm*

SWG (which is Star Wars Galaxis, not Stargate Worlds) had a working economy and it was one of the major draws to the game.

SWG's working economy was awesome.

Stargate Worlds, you say?  Interesting...
