I setup an official Furious Angels Rust server! Now that the server has been publicly released it can be hosted on any server. I setup a free Amazon EC2 account and am running the server successfully. It'll probably be fine with 5-10 people but if we wanted to open it up to say 50 we'd be looking at probably $20-30 a month which is in-line with rust hosting companies. Anyway, this will be fun to mess around with. I can also host an experimental server.

To join the server open up F1 console and type: net.connect 54.68.198.164:28015

Yeah, so this 'free' tier of service allows a baseline of 10% CPU usage. The game server uses about 20% idle. That means I lose 'CPU Credit' faster than it is earned per hour. When the CPU credit runs out the most CPU you are given in 10%. So, this makes things a bit laggier. I'm going to turn off rust when we are not using it. That way when we are all on and want to play around we'll have additional credits to run at full speed!
