JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Jackson police have not said whether a suspect arrested Friday on firearms charges is the man who wore bandages like a mummy when he walked into a bank, jumped the counter, stuffed his clothes with money and escaped on foot.

Montaries Brooks, 26, of Jackson, was being questioned Friday night regarding the robbery and was charged as a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. He was being held Saturday in the Hinds County Detention Center.

Police arrested Brooks shortly before noon Friday at an apartment, where a SWAT team had converged shortly after the bank robbery. Sgt. Joseph Wade said the robber walked into the Trustmark Bank on Terry Road, wearing bandages about 10 a.m.

"He was fully bandaged," Wade said, including his face and arms. "The only things they could see were his eyes and lips. He asked a teller for help, then jumped over the counter and began taking money out of the drawer," Wade said.

The robber, who Wade said never showed a weapon, stuffed the money into his clothes and ran. Police would not disclose how much money was stolen.

On a similar note, my frehsman year of high school a student who hung around my crowd, but wasn't really friends with us left the school during the 15 min break between 1st and 2nd period. He walked out, walked down the road to a bank outpost in a grocery store, robbed it with a 6-inch pocket knife, and then CAME BACK to school to take his Alegbra I exam. The police found him via a tracker and when asked why there was $2, 400 in his backpack he said: "That's my lunch money."

The whole story made it to the Enquirer magazine, and Jay Leno even did a skit about it the next night.

And you wonder why some yankees think we're idiots. I promise we're not. We just can't keep the stupider of us off the tv!

I had this dream during a nap today:

Now you'll have to follow me on this one: Jack Bauer and E.R. had become one show. Jack Bauer was the head surgeon. There was a team working in the OR, and another one of the surgeons was Subb (as an actor), playing the charachter Anamodiel, who oddly enough, was Puerto Rican. It was Subb's voice and accent, but a Puerto Rican girl's body.

Got it so far? let's recap:
Subb is an actor on the Jack Bauer version of ER playing a female Puerto Rican surgeon who's name is Anamodiel.

Okay, that was the premise, this is the plot:
This particular episode focused on Anamodiel who was having problems with her health or something. And every so often, Subb would sneak little things into the shot that were FA related. Like the FA pin, or a credit card in her wallet that's logo was the FA symbol. Or a framed picture in her house of one of the FA in uniform. In the end of the show the charachter died of air in her bloodstream with no explanation of how it got there :(.

Tell me THAT is not weird as all hell.
