in my mind a pedophile is someone who finds little girls sexually attractive (little = pre-pubescent). however, lets say a 12 year old girl has hit puberty very fast and could pass as much older. Assuming you didn't know her age, who is society to call a guy a pedophile for thinking she's sexually attractive? A personal example: my girlfriend physically looks virtually the same now as when she was in 7th grade.

Being a guy I check out any good looking woman. Well it just so happens that apparently I have a tough time telling age. To see just how bad, I guess the age of a woman and my girlfriend would "tell" me what her actual age was. When only counting attractive or well put together woman, on the low end of the scale, I thought 12-14 year olds were in fact 18-20 and on the high end I thought 30-40 year olds were in fact 25-28. As a result I've tried to become much more cynical when judging age. So Lits, you're 40!

and to answer your question, it bothered me to think that some of the "girls" i've checked out in the past were probably jail bait.

The girl I'm seeing now is 24 but she could easily pass for 20.  She's also a chemical engineer and incredibly good looking.    

But I get where you're coming from.  It's goddamn hard to tell these days.  I just play it safe and stick to older women.
